Common Questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a visa to visit the Maldives?

Most nationalities receive a free 30-day on-arrival visa. You'll need a valid passport, confirmed accommodation, and proof of onward travel. No advance application is required. Don't forget to compete Imuga Travel Declaration before your arrival https://imuga.immigration.gov.mv/traveller/declaration

What currency is used?

The Maldivian Rufiyaa (MVR) is the local currency, but US Dollars are widely accepted at resorts and guesthouses. Credit cards are accepted at most resorts.

How do I get from the airport to my resort?

Transfers vary by resort location — speedboat (15–90 min), seaplane (20–45 min), or domestic flight + speedboat. We arrange all transfers as part of your holiday package.

Is the Maldives suitable for families with children?

Absolutely. Many resorts offer dedicated kids' clubs, shallow lagoons perfect for little ones, and family villas with private pools. We specialise in matching families to the right resort.

What is the best time of year to visit?

December to April is the dry season with the calmest seas and clearest skies — ideal for most travellers. May to October offers lower prices and is still beautiful, especially on eastern atolls.
